Adar Foundation’s local programs focus on advocacy and education. 

Adar Foundation co-sponsored and continues to support Somali Diaspora Youth conferences intended to build bridges for a better tomorrow. Over the years, Adar Foundation played pivotal roles in its efforts of finding a lasting peace in Somalia and provided management support for national meetings that brought together Somali Diaspora and NGOs.
The co-founders of Adar Foundation are also involved in increasing awareness in terms of know you rights workshops for immigrants and minorities.   

In its efforts of shedding light on the plight of Somali civilians, co-founder of Adar Foundation has testified on the Humanitarian Crisis in Somalia and the Impact on women and children. The hearing was held at the US Congress’s House Committee on Foreign Affairs’ Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health.
